Current Pieces

Sun’s current series investigates a language of lingering in urban architectural thresholds or ‘interstitial spaces’ designed for temporary passage - a bridge, a guard watchtower, a subway station, a pier, a train carriage, a portico. Scenes are derived from various cities and their architectures - New York City, Sydney, Venice, Hiroshima - documenting the artist's personal encounters.

As viewers, you embody the subject and their nuances in spatial behaviour, becoming them as they peer into some distant enigma. These extensions inform and reveal not only our differences, but our universalities.
